Cyber & Privacy Liability
Cyber & Privacy Liability Insurance
Cyber & Privacy Liability Insurance, or sometimes just referred to as Cyber Insurance, is a packaged product that provides cover for an organisation in the event of a cyber attack, cyber crime or privacy breach. It provides first party and third party cover, and can include business interruption loss.
Every business that holds any form of data is vulnerable to cyber and privacy risks. Your business doesn't have to have a website or hold electronic records to have an exposure. And the consequences of a cyber-incident or privacy breach can be very costly.
Depending on the situation, your organisation may be up for the cost of ransoms or IT solutions to unlock and repair your systems. You could also be liable for the costs of reporting the breach, legal claims, and remediating any losses suffered by your customers or clients.
A cyber or privacy breach may cost your organisation more than just money. It could threaten your intellectual property, put your customers’ personal information at risk and cause major damage to your brand reputation.
